LAO-CHINA AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH AND PRODUCTION COOPERATION PROJECT BASE

 

Laos-China Agricultural Research and Production Cooperation Project Base is a cooperation project of Xuanye (Laos) Co., Ltd., Hunan Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Laos Academy of Agriculture and Forestry to jointly carry out agricultural research and production of Laos, with a total investment of RMB 30 million and a cooperation period of 20 years. Through sincere cooperation, based on Laos's existing ecological agricultural resources and industrial characteristics, the three parties will help Laos improve agricultural technology and productivity, and promote agricultural transformation of Laos. Agricultural research cooperation will promote agricultural science and technology cooperation between Laos and Hunan Province, promote the development of agricultural science and technology in Laos and Hunan, radiate the development of agriculture in Southeast Asia, build China’s agricultural brand, and achieve the multilateral win-win goal of "going global" of agricultural technology and "bringing back" of high-quality products.

 

In July 2018, the three parties have fully carried out relevant work after the signing of the research cooperation project under the witness of Deputy Minister of Laos Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry Buanbalisa, Secretary of the Party Committee of Standing Committee of Hunan Provincial Committee and Provincial State-owned Assets Management Commission Zhang Jianfei and other leader. Hunan Academy of Agricultural Sciences has sent two agricultural experts to Laos National Breeding Center for field work. In November 2018, Secretary of Hunan Provincial Party Committee Du Jiahao, Chinese Ambassador to Laos Jiang Zaidong, Minister of Laos Agriculture and Forestry Lian Tiqiao, Minister of Laos Education and Sports Ministry Saiden and together with other leaders attended the foundation-laying ceremony of Laos-China Agricultural Research and Production Cooperation Project Base.
