Laos Economic and Trade Cooperation Expo

The Laos Economic and Trade Cooperation Expo officially landed in Yangpu, Shanghai on November 27, 2023. As Laos' first comprehensive national level exhibition hall overseas, it will showcase Laos' image, China Laos friendship, cooperation achievements, and ASEAN characteristic products in Shanghai all year round, promote the entry of Laos and ASEAN products into the Chinese market, and also help Shanghai's green and low-carbon industries enter Laos. It has become an important platform to showcase the multi-level cooperation achievements of the two countries in politics, economy, trade, culture, and tourism, and continue to expand the spillover effect of China and ASEAN. The Laos Economic and Trade Cooperation Expo will make full use of the historical development opportunities of the opening of the China Laos railway and the effectiveness of RCEP, seize the strategic opportunities such as the construction of Shanghai's "Silk Road E-commerce" cooperation pilot area, and work with relevant organizations to promote the better "going out" of Shanghai's competitive products, and the better "introducing" of Laos and ASEAN's competitive products.

The Laos Economic and Trade Cooperation Expo is the first physical project of a high-level economic and trade cooperation platform jointly built by the Yangpu District Government and the Laotian government. The zone will make use of the development advantages of Yangpu Binjiang, continuously expand the function of the Laos Pavilion, make the service brand of the Laos Pavilion, expand the brand effect of the Laos Pavilion, attract more countries in Southeast Asia and other regions "the Belt and Road" to set up high-energy exhibition halls in Yangpu Binjiang with practical cooperation, attract more ASEAN economic and trade cooperation enterprises to gather, and constantly improve the influence, guidance and communication power of the Laos economic and trade cooperation expo.
