The 13,560 bags, a total of 34.7 tons, of Lao fragrant rice and Lao glutinous rice produced by Xuanye (Laos) Co., Ltd., have been sent from Vientiane, the capital of Laos, on May 30, 2017 after the whole-process quality traceability inspection of the inspectors from Cambodia company, CCIC.

This is Lao first batch of commodities to be exported to China through the quality traceability test of CCIC, which is a milestone in the history of Lao rice exported to China. Cambodian companies have developed traceability inspection services, which have demonstrated CCIC’s unique advantages and played a positive role in serving China’s national “the Belt and Road” strategy, ensuring the safety of food and agricultural products in China’s borders and promoting the development of China-Cambodian trade.

Laos began to export rice to China in December 2015. Based on the friendly relationship between two countries, the Chinese government increased import quota of Lao rice from 7,200 tons in 2016 to 20,000 tons in 2017.
