Winter snow signifies a year of good crops. Hunan welcomed the first snow at the end of 2018. The solid footprints in the snow have carved the footprints of Xuanye’s year-long struggle and also indicated Xuanye’s determination to go forward fearlessly in the coming year.

Retrospect 2018

On the afternoon of January 23, 2018, Lian·Tiqiao, Minister of Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Laos presided over the opening ceremony of “Lao Modern Agricultural Industrial Park Project Preparation Office”. Yu Xinrong, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture, Wang Wentian, the Chinese Ambassador to Laos, Lao (Xuanye) Co., Ltd. and AVIC International Beijing Co., Ltd. attended the opening ceremony.

On February 6, 2018, in Vientiane, Director of Department at Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Laos hosted a special meeting on “The First Project Construction of the Lao Modern Agricultural Industrial Park Project Preparation Office”.

On the afternoon of March 21, 2018, the Planting Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Xuanye (Laos) Co., Ltd. and Hunan Jinye Zhongwang Science and Technology Co., Ltd held a signing ceremony on the establishment of a bio-organic fertilizer cooperation project in the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Laos.

On April 11, 2018, Hunan Xuanye Ecological Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. was invited to participate in the 2018 Lancang River-Mekong River Cooperative Village Head Forum

On the afternoon of May 31, 2018, Boungnang, General Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Central Committee and President of Laos met with Xu Guowu, Chairman of Xuanye Company at Beijings Diaoyutai State Guesthouse. He fully affirmed and highly valued Xuanye Company’s efforts and achievements in helping Laos to realize rice export and construct Laos Modern Agricultural Industrial Park and other “the Belt and Road Initiative” projects.

On July 30, 2018, the “Agricultural Research and Production Cooperation Project” was successfully signed under the joint witness of Buang Barisa, the leader of the Lao Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, and Zhang Jianfei, the member of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee and the Secretary of the Provincial SASAC Party Committee

On July 31, 2018, the “Feasibility Study Report of Modern Agricultural Industrial Park Project” hosted by Buang Barisa, Deputy Minister of the Lao Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry was successfully approved by the Lao Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

On September 17, 2018, agricultural experts from Laos and Hunan Province met in Xuanye and the goal of tripartite cooperation was successfully advanced. Lao agricultural experts were welcomed to Hunan for training and exchange, and Hunan agricultural experts were also sent to Laos officially.

On October 16, 2018 of “World Food Day”, Song Sai, Laos National Deputy Prime Minister visited LandLao rice of Xuanye Company.

From November 1 to 5, 2018, Xuanye Company was invited to participate in the 16th China International Agricultural Products Fair and the 20th Central China (Hunan) Agricultural Fair and the Global High-level Forum on South-south Cooperation in Agriculture held in Changsha International Exhibition Center.

From November 5 to 10, 2018, Xuanye Company participated in “The First China International Import Expo” in Shanghai at the invitation of the Lao government. During the participation, staff members introduced the company’s products to the Minister Wang Yi.

On November 6, 2018, Xuanye Company was invited to attend the “China and Laos Entrepreneurs Fair” hosted by Lao Prime Minister Thongloun, in Guangzhou.

On the morning of November 25, 2018, witnessed by the leaders of Hunan Provincial Party Committee Secretary Du Jiahao, Lao Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Lian·Tiqiao and Chinese Ambassador to Laos Jiang Zaidong, the foundation of the Lao-China agricultural research and production cooperation project base was laid successfully

On the afternoon of November 25, 2018, the Planting Department of the Lao Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Xuanye (Laos) Co., Ltd. and Hunan Jinye Zhongwang technology Co., Ltd. officially held the signing ceremony of the bio-organic fertilizer cooperation project.

On December 4, 2018, the Planting Department of the Lao Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Xuanye (Laos) Co., Ltd. and Hunan Forestry Exploration Institute successfully signed a “Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement” to establish a “national soil environmental monitoring system and agricultural product quality testing system” in Laos.
