On January 21, 2016, 2016 “the Belt and Road” China-Laos Food Cooperation Achievement Conference and the Lao Rice China First Launch Ceremony were held in Changsha Jinxia Free Trade Zone. Original Lao rice officially entered the Chinese market.

　　

 

　　

 

On the morning of March 3, 2016, Chairman Xu Guowu of Hunan Xuanye Ecological Agriculture Development Co., Ltd. paid a visit to the newly appointed Lao Ambassador to China, Mrs. Wandi Budassavan.

　　

 

On March 22, 2016, Nepalese Prime Minister Olli met with Xu Guowu, Chairman of Hunan Xuanye Ecological Agriculture Development Co., Ltd. at the Nepalese Embassy in China. The two parties held cordial and friendly talks on the cooperation of “the Belt and Road” projects.

Dr. Phet PHOMPHIPHAK, Minister of Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Laos, said at the conclusion seminar on Lao rice export to China held in Savannah Province that Xuanye (Laos) Co., Ltd. has historic significance in bringing Lao rice into the Chinese market and hopes to become bigger and stronger in the future.

　　

 

　　

 

The Lao embassy in China sent a letter to Xuanye (Laos) Co., Ltd. on May 18, 2016, expressing its gratitude for providing Laos’ original rice as a gift to the Chinese during the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Laos.

On November 5, 2016, Chairman Xu Guowu was invited to attend the “Meeting of China-CEEC Ministers of Agriculture and International Forum on Agro-Trade and Economic Cooperation”.

　　

 

　　

 

On November 21, 2016, Lian Tiqiao, Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Laos chaired a special coordination meeting on the planning and design of the Xuanye Ecological Agricultural Industrial Park project. On November 29, 2016, four ministers, Phet Phomphiphak, Minister of the Lao Prime Minister’s Office, Pholsena, Minister of Ministry of Industry and Trade, Supan Chomsey, Minister of Ministry of Planning and Investment, and Benzhan Sintafung, Minister of Ministry of Communications, accompanied Lao Prime Minister THONGLOUN to visit Hunan and the headquarter of Xuanye Company to inspect and guide work.

　　

 

On November 30, 2016, Lao Prime Minister THONGLOUN SISOULITH received Xu Guowu, Chairman of Hunan Xuanye Ecological Agriculture Development Co., Ltd. at his hotel.
